Collie Jerry Neal III, a Vicksburg native and resident of Jackson, died March 13, 2014, at his home. He was 61.

He was a member of New Galilean M.B. Church of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Collie Jerry and Willie B. Taylor Neal.

Survivors include his sons, DeWayne James of Vicksburg, Collie Jerry Neal IV of Omaha, Neb., and  Reginald James of River Rouge, Mich.; daughters, Afrachanna Butler of Clinton, Glenda Calbert and De’Shawn Graves, both of Vicksburg, and Luscious Neal of Jackson; brothers Lorenzo Neal of Hawthorne, Calif., and Adam Neal and Craig Neal, both of Vicksburg; sisters, Mary Frances Johnson of Vicksburg and Tasha Neal-Griffin of Dallas; five grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 22, 2014 in the Vicksburg City Auditorium at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Orlando D. Franklin officiating. Interment shall follow in the Second Union Cemetery in Utica. There will be a visitation today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
