ROLLING FORK — Gary G. Gilliland died Wednesday, March 17, 2014, at his home in Como.

He was employed with Southwest Fabricators in Memphis, Tenn., for over 27 years. Gary was always tinkering with engines and trucks, building and rebuilding. He was a loving father and grandfather and a great friend to many.  He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his parents, Oscar Gilliland and Jeannine Summerall Gilliland of Como; two brothers, Mike Gilliland of Nesbit, and Steve Gilliland of South Haven; a son, Hunter Gilliland of Senatobia; stepsons, Richard Blake of Walls, and Michael Blake of Tupelo; and a grandson, Hayden Gilliland.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014, at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Robert Gilliland officiating. Burial will follow at Vicklan Cemetery in Delta City.

Visitation will be at noon Friday, March 21, 2014 until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Mike Gilliland, Lamar Shelby, Roger Gilliland, Steve Gilliland, Tyler Gilliland, and Michael Blake.  Honorary pallbearers are the employees of Southwest Fabricators.
