Warren County sheriff’s deputies Friday night arrested two men with outstanding warrants after a chase involving several cars that began on Lee Road and ended neat the intersection of Tilton Ranch Road and Mississippi 27, Sheriff Martin Pace said.
He said Jimmy Dale “Jimbo” Reid, 37, 1748 Old Highway 27, and Brandon Dale Pickering, 18, 1262 Culkin Road were being held without bond at the Warren County Jail.
Reid is charged in a grand jury warrant with possession of methamphetamine, and faces a charge of felony eluding resulting from the car chase.
Pickering is charged in a Warren County warrant with felony malicious mischief and has two misdemeanor justice court warrants, one of those for fleeing by running involving a foot chase last week with deputies who were trying to arrest him on the justice court warrant.
The car chase began about 6:30 p.m. Friday when sheriff’s detective Todd Dykes saw a Chevrolet SUV being driven by Reid on Lee Road. Reid refused to stop for Dykes and went south on Lee Road, east on Gibson Road and then north on Mississippi 27, where he stopped and surrendered to deputies.
No bond was set, pending an initial appearance in Warren County Justice Court.
