Harold E. West of Vicksburg died Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Promise Specialty Hospital.

Mr. West served in the Army during World War II. He was retired from Westinghouse Corp.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bennie Bell West;  parents, Lester Louis West and Lottie Lera Chancehlor; a daughter, Carol Jean West Cochran; granddaughter, Gwendolyn Cain; sisters, Thelma Richmon, Juanita West and Martha Gangi;  brothers, Vaughn B. West and Louis West.

Survivors include two daughters, Diann Cain of Vidalia, La., and Lois Wicker of Vicksburg; 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Van Carter officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.

The family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Pallbearers will be Mike Wicker, Carl Wicker, Alan Fort, Christian Fort, Trey Mathews, and Brandon Mathews.
