In Warren County Circuit Court for a two-week period ending Friday:

• Artilious Burnett, 40, of Port Gibson, was found guilty of violating probation for possession of a controlled substance and sentenced by Circuit Judge M. James Chaney to three years in prison. Burnett was indicted in January 2010.

• William Charles Callahan, 30, who lives on Halls Ferry Road, pleaded guilty to possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm after felony conviction and was sentenced by Circuit Judge Isadore Patrick to two years in prison followed by three years’ probation, a $1,500 fine and $384.50 in costs. Callahan pleaded guilty to a criminal information dated March 8.

• Carl Heard Byrd, 21, who lives on Rosedown Street, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and was sentenced by Chaney to one year of house arrest followed by five years’ probation, a $1,000 fine and $584.50 in costs. Byrd was indicted in January.

• Wade Carter Jr., 25, whose last listed address is on Belva Drive, pleaded guilty to possession of 32 grams of marijuana and was sentenced by Chaney to one year in prison followed by two years’ probation, a $1,000 fine and $884.50 in costs. Carter was indicted in January.

• Isaac Newell, 34, who lives on Grove Street, pleaded guilty to sale of cocaine and was sentenced by Chaney to six years in prison followed by five years’ probation, a $2,000 fine and $884.50 in costs. Newell was indicted in October.

• Janice Pleasant, 48, of Jackson pleaded guilty to grand larceny and was sentenced by Chaney to five years’ probation, a $1,000 fine, $3,300 restitution and $684.50 in costs. Pleasant was indicted in October.

• Jaborrine Whitney, 27, who lives on Pepper Ridge Road, pleaded guilty to robbery and was sentenced by Patrick to 10 years in prison followed by five years’ probation,  a $2,000 fine and $584.50 in costs. Whitney was indicted in July.

• Joshua Williams, 25, who lives on Jackson Street, pleaded guilty to possession of 44 grams of marijuana and was sentenced by Patrick to three years’ probation, a $1,000 fine and $684.50 in costs. Williams was indicted in July.

• Keith Wilson, 31, who lives on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, was found guilty of violating probation for possession of a controlled substance and sentenced by Chaney to the Mississippi Department of Correction’s Short-Term Alcohol and Drug Treatment followed by five years’ probation. Wilson was indicted in July 2010.
