GULFPORT — Services for Louise K. Bishop were Tuesday, April 1, 2014. At City United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Bishop died Saturday, March 29, 2014, in Ocean Springs. She was 95.

She was a graduate of the Mississippi University for Women and had a master’s degree in biology from the University of Southern Mississippi. She retired as a teacher after 48 years, and taught at Redwood High School, Cary High School and Rolling Fork High School. She was a member of Mississippi City United Methodist Church and the Gulfport Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H.D. Bishop, her parents, three sisters, and a brother.

Survivors include her son, Leslie Gerald Bishop; a granddaughter; sister, Marie Brandt; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
