Ernest “Ernie” Case, 56, of Vicksburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 1, 2014.
He was born in McComb on May 13, 1957, and was a graduate of Warren Central High School. He was a Louisiana-licensed landscaper and was a proverbial green thumb gardener.

He returned to Vicksburg in the spring of 2011, and worked with his dad at Communications Specialists Inc., where he started an Internet service, Exceed, in 2013. .
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Dot Grant of Vicksburg; two sisters, Sally Strohman (Dan) of Brandon, and Sybil Watson (Bubba) of Meridian; two brothers, David Case (Lynn) of Vicksburg, and Charles Wade Grant (Amy) of Clinton; lifelong companion, Glenn Hernandez of Vicksburg; four nieces, Viktoria Case and Shelton Case of Vicksburg, Natalie Watson of Meridian, and Haley Grant of Clinton; one nephew, Charles Destin Grant of Clinton; and two aunts, Frances (Willie) Jones of Baker, La., and Sunshine (Gordon) Wallace of Meadville.
