Dub and Kelle Barfield of Vicksburg, announce the engagement of their daughter, Allie Ann Barfield, to Ryan Andrew Yates of Metairie, La. Mr. Yates is the son of Raymond and Colleen Yates of Harahan, La.

She is the granddaughter of Alfred and Billye Ann Barfield, the late Don C. Banks and the late Helen Ferguson, all of Vicksburg.

He is the grandson of Raymond and Lois Yates and Lillian Hughes and the late Kenneth Hughes, all of Metairie.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Warren Central High School. She received a bachelors of science degree in accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi where she was a member of Delta Sigma Pi, professional business fraternity, Delta Gamma Fraternity and on the Dean’s List. She is an Accountant at Entergy Corporation in New Orleans.

The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of Brother Martin High School. He received a bachelors of science degree in mechanical engineering from Louisiana State University where he was president of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers. He is a transmission line design engineer at Entergy Corporation in Kenner, La.

The wedding will be April 26, 2014.

A family wedding and reception will be held at Cedar Grove Mansion.
