PORT GIBSON — Artmeasie Brandon died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at her residence. She was 96.

Mrs. Brandon was a member and mother at Watson Chapel Church and was a member of the Baptist Aid.

She is survived by three sons, Edward Brandon, of Port Gibson, Larry (Willie Ruth) Brandon and Lynell (Rose Anna) Brandon, both of Fayette; four daughters, Nettie Brandon and Dorothy Brandon, both of Port Gibson, Mildred (Charles) Day and Barbara Sidney, both of Fayette; five sisters, Odessa Carr of Port Gibson, Lillian Shephard, Linda Shephard and Penny Shephard, all of Vicksburg, and Lenora (Ronnie) Miller of Flowood; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren, nephews, cousins, church members and friends.

Services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014, at China Grove M.B. Church in Russum, with the Rev. Belinda Gray officiating.

Burial will follow in McCay Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson in charge.

A visitation will be held Friday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the service at the church.
