Clara Louise Mayfield Miller died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Compere’s Nursing Home in Jackson. She was 91.

She was a member of Triumphant Baptist Church for 83 years.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Ray Miller Sr. and Larry Arzett Miller; an infant daughter; her parents, Joseph David Mayfield and Willie Edna Gibson Mayfield; four brothers, Alphonso Mayfield, Jerry Arthur Mayfield, Elmo Mayfield, Joseph David “J.D.” Mayfield; four sisters, Rosa Mayfield Cox, Ethelyn Mayfield Artist, Vasti Mayfield, Maconia Mayfield Chambers,

Survivors include three sons, Harry James Miller of Germantown, Tenn., Harold Wayne Miller of Brandon and Ronnie Maurice Miller of Flowood; three daughters, Jacqueline Miller Brown of Utica, Shirlene Miller of Vicksburg and Carol Elaine Miller McCrackin of Jackson; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Locust Grove M.B. Church with Pastor Dexter Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home, and Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
