Laura Stewart died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. She was 78.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Rosie Stewart; six brothers, Matthew Washington, Allen Stewart, Tom Coy, Bennie Coy, J.C. Stewart, and Eugene Stewart; and four sisters, Rosetta Washington, Emma Parker, Susie Caldwell, and Downsy Stewart.

Survivors include a sister, Christine Minder of Vicksburg; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends, including Shirley Dart and Joyce Parker, both of Vicksburg.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill M.B. Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
