Terrance Warren

Terrance “Pooh” Warren, a former Vicksburg resident, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, in Austin, Texas. He was 38.

He was born Dec. 3, 1975, and was a chef at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin. He graduated from Vicksburg High School in 1996, and served in the U.S. Army from 1996 until 2002, stationed in Heidelberg, Germany.

He attended Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute and received his degree in culinary art. He began work as an executive chef in Las Vegas for the Palms Casino and Hotel.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lee Charles Wilson and Mattie Mae Wilson; his father Lee Charles Warren Sr.; and maternal grandparents, Ethel L. Smith and Jasper Smith.
Survivors include his mother; Odessa A.Warren; four brothers, Patrick Brown, Billy Hall, Lee Charles Warren Jr. and Kevin Warren; two sisters, Brittany Warren and Shakyra Thomas, all of Vicksburg; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends, including Keisha Smith, Rita F. Brown and Jimmie A. Jones.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dexter Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.
