HERMANVILLE —Janie Mae Epps died Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at her home. She was 71. 

Mrs. Epps was a member of First Baptist Church in Hermanville, and was employed for 38 years with the Claiborne County School District as a bus driver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie Dukes and Fannie Mae Shoulders; two daughters, Francis Epps Neal and Pat Epps; and a son, Patrick Epps.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Epps Sr. of Hermanville; three sons, Frank Epps Jr. and Calvin Epps, both of Hermanville, and Christopher Epps of Port Gibson; two daughters, Janie Harris and Madie Epps, both of Port Gibson; seven brothers, George Shoulders of Memphis, Tenn., Robert Shoulders of Jackson, Ronald Shoulders, Randy Shoulders, Jim Shoulders, Chatman Shoulders, and T.J. Shoulders, all of Carlisle; three sisters, Elizabeth Shoulders, Mary Shoulders, and Elsie King, all of Carlisle; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at First Baptist Church in Hermanville with the Rev. Johnny Hughes officiating. Burial will be at St. Phillip Cemetery in Hermanville under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson.

Visitation will be Monday, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, and Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
