How many times have you heard it? Worse, how many times have you said it? “There’s just nothing to do in Vicksburg!”
We beg to differ.
There’s plenty to do in Vicksburg. The proof comes this weekend.
Music acts, a flea market, arts and craft shows, re-enactments and dedications and even a pancake meals are more than enough to fill residents’ itineraries.
Take a look at a few of the events scheduled:
• The RiverFest stages open Friday and Saturday night, both nights featuring a lineup of talented local acts.
• If music isn’t your thing, you’ll find plenty of knick-knacks and collectables at the RiverFest Arts and Craft Show and the annual Old Court House Flea Market.
• History buffs will enjoy touring the Vicksburg National Military Park.
• And if you’re looking for a way to fill up before a long day of activities, we suggest supporting the local Y at its annual pancake breakfasts Friday from 6:30 to 9 a.m. and Saturday from 7:30 to 10 a.m.
You see, there’s plenty to do. Get out and go for it — in Vicksburg.
