Funeral services for Clarence Eugene Williams are 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 in the chapel of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert L. Miller, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery.

Mr. Williams died Saturday April 26, 2014 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was 73. He was retired from B. F. Goodrich Tire and was a member and deacon of the Providence M. B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Inez Copeland Williams Sr.; two brothers, Darnell Williams and Amos Williams, Jr.; and two sisters, Regina Powell and Inez Kenard.

Survivors include two sons, Clarence Eugene Griffin and Amos Eugene Pendleton; a sister, Imura Scott of Vicksburg, all of Vicksburg; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and others, including Mattie Griffin and Wilma Pendleton, and the Gaines, Scott, Davis, Griffin, Williams and Copeland families of Vicksburg.
