Ida Mae “Reece” Peavey Humphrey died Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 64.
Mrs. Humphrey was born Jan. 18, 1950, to Mary Nell Kelly Peavey and Ernest Peavey in Brookhaven.
She graduated from Alexander High School in 1968. She attended Copiah Lincoln Junior College, and received training to become a certified emergency medical technician.
She was an active member of Triumph Church, where she participated in small group sessions and other church activities, and worked as a security guard for Securitas.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Nell Kelly Peavey of Brookhaven; sister, Ara Nell Love of Killeen, Texas; three children, Monica Humphrey of Vicksburg, Bryant Humphrey of Fayette, and Christopher Humphrey of Rock Island, Ill.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Fields officiating.
