Saul Williams died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Sharkey-Issaquena Hospital in Rolling Fork. He was 80.

Survivors include his wife, Edie B. Willliams of Mayersville; a son, Saul Williams of Mayersville; three daughters, Vivian Evans, Brenda Peterson and Linda Short, all of Mayersville; four brothers, Robert Williams, Larry Williams and James Williams, all of Mayersville, and Johnny Williams of Sulphur, La.; two sisters, Gracie Cooper and Freddie McGee, both of Mayersville; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill M.B. Church in Mayersville with Pastor Larry White officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter Cemetery in Mayersville under the direction of Mitchell L. Walker Funeral Home of Rolling Fork.

Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
