TALLULAH, La. —Carolyn Eugenia Wroten of Shreveport, La., died Thursday, May 15, 2014, at her home. She was 72.

She was a schoolteacher and taught for 27 years, and was awarded Teacher of the Year for Airline Park Elementary in 1987.

Services are 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah, under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at First Baptist Church of Tallulah from 1 p.m. until the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society of Northwest Louisiana.
