Johnnie Ray Graves

Johnnie Ray Graves of Vicksburg died Monday, May 25, 2014. He was 60.

Mr. Graves was the son of the late Joel and Bessie Graves of Vicksburg, and worked for many years as a truck driver for Ready Mix Concrete before becoming an independent general contractor.

Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Graves; children, Tabitha Johnson of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Johnny Graves of Alexandria, Va., Bridget Graves of Nashville, Tenn., Jeremiah Graves of Nashville, Tenn., Johnny Steed of Columbus, Ga., Jermaine Steed of Bradenton, Fla., and Jerome Steed of Fayetteville, N.C.; brothers, Joel, Donald, Eddie and Karl Graves, all of Vicksburg; sisters Eunice, Mary, Janice and Anita of Vicksburg; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 31, 2014, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 1 p.m. at Rucker Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro, Tenn., with the Rev. Tolbert Randolph officiating. Burial will be in Vicksburg under the direction of Rucker Memorial Chapel.
