Walter Cook died Monday, June 2, 2014, at Covenant Health & Rehab. He was 55.

Mr. Cook was U.S. Army Veteran and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Cook.

Survivors include two sons, Timothy Rankin and Walter Cook Jr., both of Vicksburg; two daughters, Shelia Rankin and Cassandra Rankin, both of Vicksburg; his mother, Maggie Bell Cook of Edwards; two sisters, Mary Cook-Edwardson of Ocean Springs, and Shirlena Lambert of Douglasville, Ga.; and two brothers, the Rev. Andrew Cook of Vicksburg, and Robert Earl Cook of Killeen, Texas.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Belmont M.B. Church in Utica with the Rev. Phillip Burks officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday from noon to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
