Donald Sabol

Donald Sabol, 93, of Vero Beach, Fla., died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at the Atlantic Healthcare Center. He was born in Irvington, N.J., in 1920 and had been a Florida resident since 1960, having lived in Orlando and Mount Dora before moving to Vero Beach.
He was a civilian aviator prior to World War II, then served as a pilot in the Army Air Corps during the war. For most of his professional life, he was involved with sales and distribution of agricultural textiles throughout the southeastern US. He is predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Ruth Mayo Sabol. Survivors include daughters Lesley Meade, Nashville, Tenn., and Linda Dubay (Gary), Poulsbo, Wash., and sons, Bruce Sabol (Maggie), formerly of Vicksburg, and Tracy Sabol, Roseland, Fla.; and five grandchildren including Emily Sabol McHan (Tom), Vicksburg, and Megan Sabol Martinez (Patrick) of Waveland.
National Cremation Society will handle final arrangements; no services are planned.
