ROLLING FORK — Marie Schaefer died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, at her home in Rolling Fork. She was 53.

A lifelong resident of Rolling Fork, Ms. Schaefer was employed by Chuck’s Dairy Bar for more than 35 years as a cashier.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Brown and Barbara Elliott Brown.

Survivors include her sons, Greg Stevens Jr. of Gainesville, Ga., and Dave Schaefer of Rolling Fork; two sisters, Debra Sumrall of Yazoo City and Joyce Brewer of Rolling Fork; and two brothers, Darell Brown of Vicksburg and Gerald Brown of Durant.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at Rolling Fork United Methodist Church with the Rev. Beth Miller officiating, assisted by Gary Henderson. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork.

Pallbearers will be Craig Boykin, Drick Rodgers, Russell Stewart, Herbert Jones, Robert White, and Chase Mahalitc. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Danny Jackson, Dr. Michael Baker, Laurance Carter, Chuck Henderson, Woody May, Rufus Barnett, and Charles Christopher.

Donations may be made to Rolling Fork United Methodist Church in honor of Marie Schaefer.
