Ralph L. Allison

Ralph L. Allison died Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. He was 92.
Mr. Allison was born in Blytheville, Ark., on Jan. 29, 1922.
He moved from Vicksburg to San Diego in 1962, where he was employed by SeaWorld, and was later transferred to Orlando, Fla. to help establish SeaWorld there, where he was director of plant engineering. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served as a naval aviator.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Nell Allison, and a son, Leroy Allison.
Survivors include his wife, Marion Muirhead Allison of Vicksburg; his daughter, Billie Allison Miller Morse of Vicksburg; two granddaughters, Marion Miller Murphy (Robert) and Valerie Miller Waddell (Robert), both of Vicksburg; his grandson, Ralph Allison of Vicksburg; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Manasses officiating.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Thursday until the hour of the service at Glenwood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Robert Murphy, Kyle Murphy, Robert Waddell, Stephen Waddell, Ralph Allison, Donald Muirhead, Jimmy Gouras and Brad Hill.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Kaiser and Dr. Paul Pierce III.
