Wayne Arender

Wayne Arender, age 86, of Vicksburg, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, at his home. Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Saturday from noon until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Wayne Frederick Arender, was born Nov. 12, 1927, in White Oak. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. He worked with Sears in television repairs for many years before retiring. He was a lifetime Mason with the Willis Masonic Lodge No. 92 in White Oak. He was also a member of Bovina Baptist Church in Vicksburg.

Mr. Arender was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Farrar Arender.

He is survived by his son, Marquis Wayne Arender and wife Patricia; his daughter, Lynne Townsend and husband James; his grandchildren, Scarlett Ledford, Ian, Aimee, Emma and Laura Belle Townsend; and his great-grandchildren, Ashtyn, Kolben and Karabella.
