Second suspect arrested in shooting

The second suspect in an Aug. 9 shooting was held without bail this morning.
Jeremy Bailey, 20, 1504 Lummie St., was arrested at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of Urban Court and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
Bailey and Albert Buchanan, 19, 365 Drayton Road, are accused of shooting Levi Branch, 21, 120 Redhawk Road, at about 12:30 a.m. Aug. 9, Williams has said. Buchanan was arrested Aug. 22 in Hinds County after police received an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
Warren County Judge Johnny Price denied bail for Buchanan.
Bailey was held without bail this morning in the Warren County Jail awaiting his initial court appearance.
One held in theft
A Warren County man accused of grand larceny was held without bail this morning.
Alvis Christian, 37, 279 Ironwood Drive, was arrested at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 3000 block of Indiana Avenue on a warrant for grand larceny, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
The warrant stems from a theft Aug. 5, Williams said.
Christian was held without bail this morning in the Issaquena County Correctional Facility awaiting his initial court appearance.
Electronics, cash missing
Electronics and cash were missing this morning following two burglaries reported in Warren County.
At 5:30 p.m. Monday, an Xbox 360, 16 Xbox 360 games, an iPad, and two RCA tablet computers were reported missing from a home in the 4700 block of Roberta Circle, according to Warren County sheriff’s records.
At 8:05 a.m. Tuesday, less than $10 in cash was reported missing from a Nissan Murano in the 100 block of Choctaw Circle.
Three convicted of DUI
Three convictions of driving under the influence were reported in Vicksburg and Warren County for the week ending Tuesday.
In Vicksburg Municipal Court:
• John Spencer Fagan, 26, 106 Lakewood Hills, was found guilty of DUI second offense and fined $1,064.
• John Leonard Hilderbrand, 43, 308 Goodrum Road, was found guilty of DUI first offense and fined $764.
In Warren County Justice Court:
• Christin R. Deam, 31, of Pine Bluff, Ark., was convicted of DUI of substance other than alcohol and was fined $685.50
