The engagement of Angie Renea Gallop and Robert Kenna Blakeney, both of Brandon, is announced today.
Miss Gallop is the daughter of Michelle and Dan Berry of Pensacola Beach, Florida and Charles Gallop of Vernon, Alabama. She is the granddaughter of the late Theo, Helen Gallop and the late Doris Douglas, and Thomas and Jean Douglas of Russellville, Alabama.
Mr. Blakeney is the son of Jean Blakeney of Edwards and Rickey Blakeney of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Joe Blakeney and Lessie Blakeney of Raleigh, Miss. and the late F.E. Brasfield and Dorothy Brasfield of Edwards.
The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of New Hope High School in Columbus, Miss. She attended Mississippi State University where she was a MSU cheerleader. In 2011, she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Southern Mississippi. She is a Registered Nurse at Women’s Health Association in Flowood.
The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of Warren Central High School. He attended Hinds Community College for Landscape Development. He is employed at Ensco Offshore Drilling in Houston, Texas.
Vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. Oct. 25, 2014 at The Church of Holy Trinity in Vicksburg.
A reception will follow at the BB Club.
