PORT GIBSON — Bessie Mae Anderson died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at her home.  She was 93.

She was born Jan. 17, 1921, to David E. Willis and Clara Norwood Anderson, and was a lifelong resident of Claiborne County, living in the Shiloh community. She was an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Anderson, and a son, Tommie Anderson.

Survivors include her sons, James Anderson of Geneva, Ohio, and Wayne Anderson of Port Gibson; three daughters, Faye Green of Red Lick, Jewel Scarber of Vicksburg and Brenda Young of Port Gibson; a sister, Marie Williams of Vaiden; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services will be noon Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson with William May officiating. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Keith Green, Glenn Green, Troy Anderson, Phillip Anderson, Morgan Robinson, Neal Robinson, James Thorpe, Michael Thorpe, and Shane Green.
