Mrs. Iver Lee Williams Rhodman, 79, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, at River Region Hospital in Vicksburg after a lengthy illness. Born in Vicksburg on June 30, 1935, she was the oldest child of twelve children born to the late Mr. David and Mrs. Agatha Copeland Williams. She graduated from Vicksburg High School in May 1953. She was baptized at an early age. She was an active member of Standfield New Life Christian Church where her pastors are Drs. John H. and Lora R. Williams. She served as church secretary, Sunday school teacher, and Sunday school superintendent. She also worked as a teacher assistant at Halls Ferry and Bowmar Avenue elementary schools before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers David Williams Jr., and Donald R. Williams, and sisters, Scottie Virginia Anderson Wolfe and Lafolyette Hammond, all of Saginaw, Mich. She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 57 years, Eddie Rhodman, Sr., one son, Eddie Jr. (Candace) of Nashville, Tenn., and three daughters, Aleta (Roderick) Crawford of West Point, Miss., Kimberly Rhodman of Vicksburg, and Erna (Durwyn) Duncan of Wichita, Kan.  She also leaves to mourn her brothers, Alphounce T. (Joyce) Williams of Idlewild, Mich., Burkas Williams of Saginaw, Mich., Carl Williams of Grand Rapids, Mich., Scott (Shirley) Grady of Nashville, Tenn.; and her sisters, Barbara Bady, Linda Braddock, and Edith M. Holmes, all of Saginaw, Mich.  She also leaves behind five loving grandchildren, Toyin, Paula, Eddie III, Camille, and Nigel, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. She also leaves to mourn her childhood friend, Mrs. Robbie Hebron of Vicksburg.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2014 at W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home, 800 Monroe St, Vicksburg, MS 39183.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014 at House of Peace Worship Church, 1301 Holly Street, Vicksburg, MS 39180.
Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
There will be no repast.
