Harry Brady Shepherd

Harry Brady Shepherd died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, at his home. He was 61.
Mr. Shepherd was born Jan. 9, 1953, in Gulfport to the late Harry Brady Shepherd Sr. and the late Dorothy Walker Shepherd.
He attended 33rd High School in Gulfport, and Alcorn State University in Lorman, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, hunting and photographing others, and worked as a welder and in youth counseling.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clifford Jackson; and one daughter, Antoinette Horne.
Survivors include two daughters, Alda Shepherd of Memphis, Tenn., and Nicosia Hooker of Kansas City, Mo.; four sons, Trevor Barnett and Ajary Horne, both of Gulfport, and George Gaskin and Demond Patton, both of Vicksburg; three sisters, Belinda Lewis and Barbara Shepherd of Gulfport, and Alice Morris of New York City; two nephews; eight grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Vicksburg. Burial will follow at Locust Grove MB Church Cemetery in Fayette under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home of Vicksburg.
Visitation will be Thursday from 1 to 6 p.m., with family present from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
