A Warren County man was injured Tuesday when he crashed a motorcycle on China Grove Road.

At about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Wallace R. Dorrell, 65, 9245 Halls Ferry Road, was injured when he lost control of the motorcycle he was driving on China Grove Road about a tenth of a mile north of Nine Mile Cut Off Road, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

Dorrell was riding southbound on China Grove on a 2001 Triumph motorcycle when he lost control, Pace said. No other vehicle was involved in the crash, Pace said.

Dorrell was taken by ambulance to River Region Medical Center, where his condition was unavailable this morning.

Electronics missing in burglaries

Electronics were missing this morning following a burglary reported Tuesday in Warren County.

At 4:43 p.m., an iPad 3 valued at $500, a tablet computer of unknown make valued at $70, a Samsung Galaxy tablet computer valued at $689 and a cellphone charger were reported missing from a home in the 10 block of Willie Lane, according to Warren County sheriff’s records.

Willie Lane runs northeast from Freetown Road north of the intersection with Henry Lake Road.

 

One held for drug court

A Warren County woman was held without bail this morning for drug court.

Katelyn Burton, 21, 5 Jil Marie Circle, was held in the Warren County Jail for a drug court sanction, according jail records.

 

Fifteen convicted of DUI

Fifteen convictions of driving under the influence were reported in Vicksburg and Warren County for the week ending Tuesday.

In Vicksburg Municipal Court:

• Richard Wayne Bradford, 33, 927 Bowmar Ave., was convicted of DUI, second offense, and fined $1,150.

• Colby Austin Russum, 19, was convicted of driving under the influence of a substance other than alcohol and fined $824.

• Keith Anthony Sanders, 33, 2315 Grove St., was convicted of DUI, second offense, and fined $1,15.

In Warren County Justice Court:

• Raymond Earl Carter, 206 Williamson Ave., Edwards, was convicted of DUI, first offense, and fined $685.50.

• Trelveon Deandre Clark, 2133 Shelby Road, Pattison, was convicted of driving under the influence of a substance other than alcohol and fined $685.50

• Lenard D. Herndell, 24, 300 Union Ave., was convicted of DUI, first offense, and fined $685.50.

• Robert Benjamin Hodges, 31, 2505 Warriors Trial, Lot 1, was convicted of DUI, first offense and fined $695.50.

• Kayla Latriece King, 26, 102 James Court, was convicted of driving under the influence of a substance other than alcohol and fined $685.50.

• Johnny Lee Lyons, 61, 330 Cedar School Circle, was convicted of DUI, first offense, and fined $735.50.

• Latonya Shanta O’Neal, 29, 2111 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., was convicted of DUI, first offense, and fined $685.50.

• Charles R. Reed Jr., 32, 1102 Candy St., was convicted of DUI, first offense, and fined $685.50.

• George M. Banks, 43, 3669 Washington St., was convicted of DUI, first offense, and fined $685.50.

• Wego Lamount Tate, 38, 4920 Halls Ferry Road, was convicted of DUI, first offense, and fined $695.50

• Johnnie Lee Trisby, 42, 2135 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., was convicted of DUI, first offense, and fined $685.50.

• Gloria Nicole Ware, 23, 2936 Highland Ave., was convicted of DUI, first offense, and fined $685.50.
