YAZOO CITY — John Martin Coker Jr. died Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. He was 74.
Mr. Coker was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was a retired superintendent at APAC for many years.
Survivors include his son, John “Marty” Coker, III of Orlando, Fla.; stepdaughters, Kathy Ledbetter and Cynthia Ledbetter, both of Benton, and Tiffany Scallions of Vicksburg; and a stepson, John Kinch Wilson of Benton.
Mr. Coker was preceded in death by his wife Melba Sligh Coker.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Yazoo County with Dr. W. Frank Lescallette officiating.
Visitation will be at the church from 2 p.m. until the service. Stricklin-King Funeral Home of Yazoo City has charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will include Will Ledbetter, Kinch Ledbetter, Joseph Ledbetter, Scotty Butler, James Ashley, Raymond Scallions Jr., Chris Scallions, and Blake Scallions.
