PORT GIBSON — Burnice Rodney May died Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at his home in Hermanville. He was 68.
A native of Port Gibson, he was born to William Hardy May Sr. and Alma Bernice Harrell May on Sept. 15, 1946. He was employed as a millwright for 40 years at various sawmills in Louisiana and Arkansas, and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three daughters, Andi Peck of Vancouver, Wash., Monica Webb of Ocean Springs and Sarah Newell of Kilbourne, La.; a brother, William H. May Jr. of Port Gibson; three sisters, Hazel Mayo of Shunchula, Ala., Myrtle Beard of Port Gibson and Pat Strange of Vicksburg; and six grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson with the Rev. Charles Gammel officiating. Burial will follow at Fayette City Cemetery in Fayette.
Visitation will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service.
