Mrs. Ruby Loraine Davenport died Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. She was 66.
Born in Vicksburg, she was the daughter of the late Sam Jones and Mary Katherine Delkerscamp Jones. She was a cook for numerous restaurants in Vicksburg. Mrs. Davenport was a beloved daughter, wife, sister, aunt and friend. She was of the Jesus Name faith.
She is survived by two sisters and three brothers, John W. Jones (Judy) of Foley, Ala.; Kay White (Charles) of Vicksburg, Charlie Jones (Debbie) of Vicksburg, Sally Ann Thomas (Billy) of Damion, Texas, Robert Jones (Gayle) of Prairieville, La.; and a sister-in-law, Lillian Jones, Vicksburg.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Laverne Davenport; sister and brother-in-law, Sidney “Judy” Johns and John Paul Johns; two brothers, George “Sambo” Jones and Dudley Jones.
A Service of Remembrance will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with her nephew, John Paul Jones Jr., officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday at Riles Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until the service.

Pallbearers will be Robert Harper, Kirk Harper, Tommy Johns, Jason Evans, Kevin Evans, Brian Evans, Chris Self and Jamie Brown. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Walter Johnston.
