Random acts of kindness add up

Now that we are waking up from our Thanksgiving food-induced coma, it is now time to our attention to more pressing matters.

During the Christmas season, the season of giving, we often find ourselves focusing on what to get someone for Christmas.

We spend hours dwelling on what they might want, where is the best place to get it and hunting for the best possible deal.

In addition to that noble drive, let us also focus on those we do not know. Those who live amongst us, but we have not met or shared a meal with.

This year, while you’re out shopping and gathering gifts for the ones you know and love, find a way to share that love with someone else through one of the many agencies and charities who are set up to help those in need.
It is this simple, random act of kindness that — when combined with others doing the very same thing — can have a significant impact on the very place we all call home.
