PORT GIBSON — William D. Brandon Sr. of Port Gibson died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, at his home. He was 81.
Mr. Brandon was preceded in death by his parents, Tullos and Bessie Jones Brandon; and a son, Willie E. Brandon.
Survivors include his wife, Thoretha Brandon of Port Gibson; two sons, William Brandon Jr. of Lauderdale and Larry Appleton of Port Gibson; a brother, Tullos Brandon Jr. of Port Gibson; a sister, Faye Lee Brandon Weathersby of Hattiesburg; one uncle; one aunt; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Services will be 1p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at Mercy Seat M.B. Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Frank McGriggs officiating. Burial will be at  McCay Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson.
Visitation will be today from 1 to 5 p.m. funeral home, and Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
