Four charged in motel burglary

Four people accused of breaking into a motel were jailed Friday.
Sabian Reeves, 24, and Landon Haynes, 19, both of 110 Austin Reed Drive, and Amber Massey, 30, and Rebecca Boggan, 24, both of 806 Reed St., Apt. 1, were arrested Thursday and charged with burglary and possession of meth, Vicksburg police Lt. Troy Kimble said.
The four had rented a room at Battlefield Inn, 4137 I-20 Frontage Road and used a bolt cutter to break into parts of the motel, Kimble said. When police entered the room the four had rented, they found methamphetamine, Kimble said.
Massey and Reeves are also being questioned for a burglary in another jurisdiction, Kimble said. Warren County Jail records listed them held for a Louisiana law enforcement agency.
Bail was set Friday at $7,500 for Haynes and Reeves and $2,500 for Boggan and Massey.
Reeves posted bail at about 4:30 p.m. Friday and was released. The other three were held in the Warren County Jail.
Man held for aiding fugitive
A Warren County man accused of helping a friend dodge sheriff’s deputies was in jail Friday.
Tyler Knighton, 20, 616 Tilton Ranch Road, was arrested Friday and charged with harboring a fugitive, Sheriff Martin Pace said.
Knighton is accused of assisting Joshua Thornell, 20, 165 Pepper Ridge Road, evade deputies who were attempting to arrest him for a drug court violation, Pace said.
Knighton initially denied aiding Thornell, but deputies discovered he had picked up Thornell and taken him to his home for a period of time, Pace said.
Both men were held without bail Friday in the Warren County Jail.
Accused pot dealer nabbed
A Vicksburg man accused of selling marijuana was in jail Friday.
Brandon Harper, 27, 102 Hamilton Drive, was arrested Friday and charged with sale of marijuana, Vicksburg police Lt. Troy Kimble said.
Harper’s arrest came as the result of a undercover investigation, Kimble said.
Harper was held in lieu of $10,000 bail in the Warren County Jail.
One charged with domestic assault
A Vicksburg man accused of hitting his live-in girlfriend was jailed Friday.
Antonio McCloud, 34, 805 Cherry St., was arrested Thursday and charged with third-offense domestic violence, Vicksburg police Lt. Troy Kimble said.
McCloud is accused of assaulting his girlfriend and has two prior convictions for domestic violence in Vicksburg Municipal Court, Kimble said.
McCloud was held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.
