Joseph L. Lewis of Vicksburg died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, at River Region Medical Center. He was 76.
Mr. Lewis worked a number of years for LeTourneau Co. as a mechanic, and retired from Anderson-Tully.
He was a Mason for approximately 50 years and a member of Crossway Church. He was a wonderful person and a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a craftsman who loved working in his woodshop. He loved to help others for he loved people and will be greatly missed by everyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Angie and Jake Lewis; and his wife, Glenda Clark Lewis.
Survivors include his sons, Danny L. Lewis of Vicksburg and Randy L. Lewis of Beechgrove, Tenn; daughters, Dianne Davis and Theresa Lynn Lewis, both of Vicksburg; brothers, Jake Lewis of Biloxi, Robert Lewis of Epps, La., and Clifford Lewis of West Monroe, La.; four grandchildren, Tiffany G. Lewis, Steffany G. Lewis, Whitney M. Lewis, Danny Lee Lewis; two great-grandchildren, Elissa G.G. Waltz and Braxton L. Lewis; and life long friends, Joy Hollingsworth and Thomas Davis, and other family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry White officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Reggie King, Danny Johnson, Joe Gay, David Thames, Elmer Nielson, Josh Peterson. Honorary pallbearers will be all members of the Hyland/Jarmon Lodge No. 113.
