Ledoria Nix died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015 at Covenant Health & Rehab of Vicksburg. She was 64.

Ms. Nix worked with the Vicksburg Warren School District for 13 years and was a member of Cool Springs M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Freddie Mae Bell; her father, Shep Clark; and one brother, Laddie B. Nix.

Survivors include her two sons, James Edward White, of Vicksburg, and Melvin Nix of Rosedale, Miss.; three sisters, Beatrice Elsworth, of Greenville, Ruthie Mae Hudson and Shirlean Shepard, both of Vicksburg; one brother, Junior Lee Nix of Vicksburg; one grandson; four granddaughters; five great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including Robert Reed, Eddie Lee Jones and Claude Berry, Sr.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Cool Springs M.B. Church, with the Rev. Byron Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the family present from 5-6 p.m.
