Raquel LeKeshia Queen Harrison

Raquel LeKeshia Queen Harrison died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 at Plano Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, Texas. She was 39.

Ms. Harrison was educated in the Vicksburg Warren Public School District and graduated from Alcorn State University with a bachelor’s degree in agronomy. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and was a member of the marching band’s Purple Flashers. She worked with Geico insurance in Dallas and was a member of Community Bible Fellowship Church in Irving, Texas, serving on the praise team and choir.

She was preceded in death by her twins, Destiny Miracle and James Queen; her maternal grandparents, James and Gloriasteen Gibson; and her paternal grandparents, James and Izola Queen.

Survivors include her parents, Ronald and Gloria Queen of Vicksburg; her daughter, Raena Lindsey Harrison, of Dallas; one brother, Ronald “Bo” Queen, of Kansas City; one niece, four aunts, six uncles and several relatives and friends.

Services are 11a.m. Saturday at Travelers Rest Baptist Church, 718 Bowmar Ave., with the Rev. Kevin L. Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Friday, with family present from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
