Kenneth “Kenny” Joseph Brooks

Kenneth “Kenny” Joseph Brooks was born June 11, 1958, in Vicksburg. He died March 4, 2015, in Longview, Texas.

Kenny attended Sheltered Acres and Midd-West for many years, and he was an avid sports fan, he loved his Saints and his Mississippi State Bulldogs.

He is survived by his brother, John A. “Butch” Brooks Jr., of Longview, Texas; a sister, Dottie Murray of Shreveport, La.; nieces Carley Brooks Cordell of The Colony, Texas, Donna Murray Voight of Allen, Texas, and Dee Murray Jordan of Shreveport; nephews, Cole Brooks of Longview, Texas, and Chip Murray of West Monroe, La., as well as great-nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy B. Brooks; his father, John A. Brooks Sr.; a sister, JoAnn Brooks; and a niece, Kristen Casey Brooks.

Visitation will be today at Fisher Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m.

Graveside services will be Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Father Tom Lalor officiating.

Pallbearers are Chip Murray, John Murray, Neil Brooks, Vernon Martin Jr., Cadyn Cordell, and Kearney Waites. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Barner and George Nuttall.
