Sarah Randolph Boone Society and Children of the American Revolution presented an American history program “A History of Sarah Randolph Boone Society, CAR” to Ashmead Chapter, DAR.
The origin of the Society’s name was explained as honoring Sarah Randolph Boone, the niece of Daniel Boone, who was an ancestor of Mrs. Sol Felner, who organized the Society in 1933.
Sarah Randolph Boone and other young women carried water to the Kentucky Militiamen under siege in the fort at Bryan’s Station, the last battle of the American Revolution.
The history of the Society from 1933-2015 was then given by CAR members and prospective members.
