Funeral services for Nathan Watson Jr. are at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Father Malcom O’Leary officiating. Interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge. There will be a Rosary held 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel.

Mr. Watson died Friday, March 6, 2015 at River Region Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was 82.

He had retired from Westinghouse Corp. He was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Rosa Lee Watson Sr.; his wife, Mable Morgan Watson; his son Michael Watson; and his brother, Joseph Watson.

Survivors include three sons, Joe Watson and Nathan Watson III, both of Vicksburg, and Kenneth Ray Watson, of Natchez; his four daughters, Connie Smith, Janice Watson, Nina Jackson and Rosa Lee Bridgeman, all of Jackson; his sister, De’Lesselyn Broome, of Vicksburg, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
