Despite the chance for early spring showers, several downtown shops will be open for this season’s installment of Hit the Bricks and Adjoining Streets.

“We sure are going to be open,” Frederick’s Shoe Store owner Norma Massey said. “We have models in the fashion show.”

Live music by Osgood & Blaque will accompany sales and offerings at the event, which lasts from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Shoppers will take advantage of the extended hours for participating businesses. A spring fashion show features dresses, shoes and other apparel offered by clothing merchants along Washington Street.
