Randolph Bruce ‘Randy’ Hengst

ROLLING FORK — Randolph Bruce “Randy” Hengst died Monday, March 30, 2015, at Sharkey-Issaquena Hospital in Rolling Fork. He was 61.

Born and raised in Port Lavaca, Texas, he lived most of his life in Cary. He was manager of Otter Bayou Drainage District for 22 years.

He was a member of the Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church in Rolling Fork where he was in the EYC, a Sunday school teacher, served as a Lay Minister, a member of the vestry and sang in the choir. He served as a Cub Scout leader in Rolling Fork and served for seven years as an alderman in Cary.

Survivors include his wife, Tyann Peterson Hengst of Cary; son, Randolph Bruce Hengst II of Cary; sister, Charlotte Baker of Vicksburg; brother, Thomas Hengst of Rolling Fork; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015, at the Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church with Rev. Craig Procter officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service
