LORMAN — Frederick D. Carr died Friday, April 17, 2015, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Jackson. He was 74.

Mr. Carr was a member of Morningstar M.B. Church. He worked for Steward Warner Corp. in Chicago for over 25 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam.

Survivors include two sisters, Freddie Taylor and Velva Carr both of Barrington, Ill.; a brother, Douglas Carr of Chicago; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Morningstar M.B. Church in Lorman with the Rev. Larry Clark officiating. Burial will be at McCay Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, and Saturday at the church from noon until the service.
