Mary T. Peoples

Mary T. Peoples died April 20, 2015 at her home in Edwards. She was 81.

Mrs. Peoples was born on Dec. 17, 1933, to the late Bob and Sallie Ann Thomas of Edwards. She was a member Mount Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Edwards.

She was employed and retired with Metro Ramada Inn in Jackson after 15 years of service.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie B. Peoples; her siblings, Bobbie Lee Kinnard, Willie Ann Ford, Walter Thomas, Fannie Funches, Robert Thomas Jr., Roosevelt Thomas, Sr., Mildred Estelle; and two sons, Eddie Lee Peoples and Jerry Peoples.

Survivors include her children, Wanetta Ann Walker, Willie Peoples, Robert Peoples, Andrew Peoples and A.C. Peoples, all of Vicksburg, Edward B. Peoples, Vera Peoples, Sally Tucker, Elaine Peoples and Edith Peoples, all of Edwards and Sarah Scott of Jackson; sisters, Selena Funches of Vicksburg, Flora Miller of East St. Louis, Ill..; brothers, Prince Thomas of Jackson and Andrew Thomas of Vicksburg; and grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Collier officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Edwards under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m., with family present from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
