ROLLING FORK — Julia E. Simmons died Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. She was 60 years old.

Mrs. Simmons, a retired nurse, was born in Vicksburg and lived in Rolling Fork all her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harry E. Simmons, and her mother Lillian Bagley Simmons.

She was a member of the Rolling Fork Church of Christ

Survivors include a brother, Robert A. Simmons of Rolling Fork; and a sister Emily Key of Savannah, Ga.

Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Rolling Fork Church of Christ with the Rev. Norman Maranto officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Tuesday at the church from 9 a.m. until the service.
