Police: Two tried to pawn stolen property

Two people accused of coming to Vicksburg to pawn property stolen in Louisiana were arrested Wednesday.
Anna Easter, 38 of West Monroe and Patrick Tadios, 38, no address available, were arrested Wednesday afternoon by investigator John Nguyen on felony warrants from Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Department for residential burglary and possession of stolen property, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
VPD received information from Ouachita Parish Wednesday that the couple had come to Vicksburg to pawn stolen property, Williams said.

They were arrested at a pawnshop, and property reported stolen in Louisiana was recovered in their vehicle and hotel room, Williams said.
Easter and Tadios waived extradition and were returned Wednesday night to Ouachita Parish to face charges.
Cash missing in burglaries
Cash was missing from two vehicles Thursday after two auto burglaries on Drummond Street.
At 8:20 a.m., cash was reported stolen from a 2014 Dodge Ram in the 2400 block of Drummond Street, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said. At 11:45 a.m., cash was also reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2500 block of Drummond.
Both vehicles showed no signs of forced entry, Williams said.
One free on bail in forgery
A Warren County man who had been on the lam for a year and a half in a forgery case was free on bail Thursday.
Waylon Jones, 42, 2236 Mount Alban Road, was arrested Wednesday morning by investigator Eddie Colbert on a warrant for uttering forgery, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
The warrant for Jones’ arrest was discovered when he was arrested for misdemeanor shoplifting at Walmart, 2150 Iowa Blvd., Williams said. It had been issued in November 2013, Williams said.
Jones posted $2,500 bail and was released from the Warren County Jail.
Three held for MDOC
Three people accused of violating probation were held without bail Thursday.
Kelvin Bell, 44, 659 Fort Hill Drive, Marcus Mack, 29, 1101 Jefferson St., Apt. 304, and Brittany Matthews, 23, were held in the Warren County Jail on Mississippi Department of Corrections warrants for probation violation, according to court records.
