Louise Marie Ellman Rosser

Louise Marie Ellman Rosser of Vicksburg died Sunday, June 14, 2015 at her home in Vicksburg following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  She was 73 years old.

Louise was born the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry W.C. Ellman on Oct. 12, 1941, in North Tonawanda, N.Y.  She was the wife of Thomas B. Rosser, III of Vicksburg and was an active member of the community, having served both as a member of the Republican Committee of Vicksburg and as an advocate of the Tea Party.

She was also a healthy lifestyle activist and enjoyed playing bridge and golf.  Louise loved her church, was strong in her faith and strived to serve the Lord daily.

Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home, at 1830 Cherry St. in Vicksburg.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4423 Interstate Hwy I 55 North, with the Rev. James Holowach officiating.

Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Rosser is survived by two daughters, Lisa Miller and her husband Steve of Baton Rouge, La. and Kimberly Ray and her husband Luther of Newton, N.C.; a son, Scott Mathis and wife Andrea of Vicksburg; three  step-daughters, Mary Scott Shepherd and husband Tommy of Jackson, Sara Jane Parker and husband Gene of Vicksburg, and Ginny Abraham and husband Bobby of Oxford; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  Also surviving her are two sisters, Dorothy Wittig of Corona, Calif., and Marjorie Reas of Toledo, Ohio.

Pallbearers will be Steve Miller, Zachary Miller, Ryan Richards, Todd Charest, Rob Miller and Mike Miller.
