Frank Raymond Hudson

Frank Raymond Hudson, died July 8, 2015 at his home in Edwards. He was 71.

He received his early education in Glen Allen and graduated from Norman

O’Bannon High School in 1963.

Frank later moved to Pittsburgh, where he received undergraduate and master degrees, graduating magnum cum laude. His master’s concentration was in urban planning and development, and he spent one semester studying in the Netherlands.

He was held jobs with the Chicago Transit Authority, University Without Walls, Rainbow Push, Freedom Village, the Hinds County Board of Supervisors, and the Department of Energy, Medicaid Division. He was active in Civil Rights and Human Rights.

Frank was born to the late Marie Wigfall-Brown, on May 1, 1944, and on married his wife, E. Jean Phillips-Hudson, on Dec. 3, 1966.

Besides his wife, survivors include a daughter, Valerie L. Hudson of Chicgo; a grandson; a sister, Brenda Brown of New York; and  relatives, friends and classmates.
